Um, I hate how most of my dishes never turn out looking like the photos that make me want to try them...here's my attempt at Monster Bacon Meatloaf. It's rather scary...

My children are young enough that Halloween is still something we do but the large amount of candy is a problem. We let the kids pick out a few treats to eat the night of, we keep the chocolate and bag the rest of for office co-workers…what do you do to keep the sugar intake low? Do you celebrate Halloween or do you turn off your lights and watch a movie in the back room with your children? Next year, I plan on buying chocolate again but I will also have a cauldron of fun toys.

Halloween Trick: One of my favorite sites mentioned that the Halloween Witch comes to their house to take candy and replaces it with a book or toy. Seems like a good way to cut back on candy, just don’t know if my children would prefer the gift we buy them or the candy they get.
