Mission to Change

Recently my best friend has gone through some hard times. With the Pity Party over, she has decided to take some positive steps forward instead of remaining at a standstill.

Learning to deal with negative emotions in a proactive way is such a hard thing to do. How many of us take our anger, sadness, loneliness etc… out in ways that are only strengthening to the body and spirit?

My coping technique use to involve remaining motionless for long periods of time with candy wrappers strewn on the sofa beside me. That was my go-to when I was under emotional/physical/mental stress….which you can imagine only left me feeling worse.

Ice cream is an empty comfort but a treadmill is a sure-proof way to battle negativity.
