PaleoKim’s 21 Day Sugar Detox Journal Entry – DAY 17

OK – lets just get this out of the way – I CHEATED! I BIG TIME CHEATED! And I am not going to beat myself up over it. I felt bad about it for a bit but I am moving on and tomorrow is a new day that I WILL NOT cheat.
KIM’S BREAKFAST: Did not have much to eat before yoga – only some banola and half a cup of coffee.
KIM’S LUNCH: Raced home – only had about 45 minutes until the afternoon session so I ran home, fed the dogs, wolfed down some chicken and some salad, watched my husband put up our new shed then raced back to class. The afternoon session was filled with lots more yoga so my back is a little sore.
KIM’S SUPPER: This is it – are you ready? Today (meaning yesterday – Sunday) is the 7th anniversary of me being married to Non-Paleo Mark (together for 20 years) so we decided to go out for supper. I had a glass of wine (cheat) with a steak, Brussels sprouts, butternut squash, a couple of mushroom gnocchi (cheat – but they were small) and I split a gluten free cheesecake with berries with the man (cheat, cheat, cheat). Was it the worst cheat I could have done – No – but it was a cheat that was enough to throw my stomach out of whack the next morning for a bit.
FAMILY’S SUPPER: Same as mine!
SNACK: Are you kidding? Like the cheesecake wasn’t enough? There – I feel better telling you all about it…
