Pulled Pork (a slow cooker recipe)

 pulledpork2

Who doesn’t like Pulled Pork? When we moved to the south, I had never tried pulled pork but now it’s one of my favorite things to make. It’s super easy and very tasty! No Grill or Smoker required…this has been in the slow cooker for 12 hours after marinating in a homemade dry rub for 2 days. Omelets, Hot & Sour Soup, solo or with coleslaw, this tastes great and for $10 (5+ lbs), this will not only cover several various meals but it’s budget friendly!

MAIN INGREDIENTS:
4 -6 lbs Boston Butt roast
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup olive oil

DRY RUB INGREDIENTS:
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon granulated garlic
1 tablespoon granulated onion
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoons sea salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon white pepper

DIRECTIONS:
1. Add the rub to your Boston Butt and wrap tightly in Saran Wrap.
2. Bag wrapped Boston Butt in a grocery bag to avoid leakage.
3. Marinate for 24+ hours in fridge.
4. Place in slow cooker with 1/2 cup of apple juice and 1/2 cup of olive oil.
5. Cook on low for 12 hours.
6. Once completely cooked, drain extra liquid from pot, remove extra fat from pork roast and shred with fork.
ENJOY!
