PaleoKim’s 21 Day Sugar Detox Journal Entry – DAY 16

yoga

Today was a super long day as was yesterday so I apologize for the really shorts posts. I am just beat!

KIM’S BREAKFAST: Today was my first day of training and I had no idea what to expect! I got up and ate a banana since I did not want too much in my stomach before yoga. I didn’t even drink a cup of coffee. Just had some water in the car on the way there. We did a hatha yoga class then did a 2 hour workshop on Doshas and Aryuvena. Very interesting! Note to self – buy a book by Deepak Chopra.

KIM’S LUNCH: We had an hour for lunch so I raced home to feed the dogs, eat some lunch – chicken with brussell sprouts and mushrooms – and say goodbye to that pesky lamb from last night (TMI I know but I was completely regretting that eating decisions from the minute we starting doing twists).

KIM’S SUPPER: It was Christmas at Dad’s (they head to Mexico for 4 months and leave in a couple of weeks), so we went there and ordered St. Hubert’s chicken, played crib and euchre and drank water with lime!

FAMILY’S SUPPER: Not sure since I was not there but I did see a Milano’s pizza box so I can only guess.

SNACK: Since I had no banola left I made some more after we got home. This time I made it with walnuts since I was out of pecans. I’m not liking the walnuts as much. I also added some pepitas and a couple of dried goji berries. That made up for the walnuts.

I am officially two thirds done!

I love yoga! It makes me strong, calm and flexible in both body and mind. Plus my legs look great in a short skirt! I have to brag a bit here – this morning before my power flow class I asked Robin, the instructor if we could work on Crow pose and I was able to hold it the whole time – a first!

KIM’S BREAKFAST: That poor grapefruit remained in my bag yet again. My promise to you – grapefruit – you will be eaten – oh yes you will…

KIM’S LUNCH: chicken and salad – chicken and salad. Obviously chickens in this area tremble when I walk by. Heck – maybe the lettuce does too?

KIM’S SUPPER: Hamburgers on our new kick ass BBQ! Finally I don’t have to carefully position the hamburgers on the right spot so that half doesn’t get burned while the other half doesn’t get cooked at all. I ate my hamburgers naked (not me ya perv – the burgers!) with a salad, half an avocado and a couple of Terra Mediterranean salted chips because I sooooo wanted to eat some Lays chips! This did the trick though!

FAMILY’S SUPPER: Non-Paleo Mark ate burgers with a handful of chips and a coke – I feel bad that my family still eats all that garbage but there is absolutely nothing I can say or do that will change it – I just keep mentioning all the things that I will do with the insurance money when I become a widow. And he just mentions that nobody would miss me for at least two or three days…LOL – so if I don’t write my daily diary here for a couple of days – you know to call the police…(just joking – he would most likely cover his tracks by pretending to be me and write this post anyway – he is wily like a fox)

SNACK: Raspberries were on sale so I bought 3 cartons and ate one. At the store I also bought the bag of pork rinds by the cash and ate half of the bag (it was a small bag – like REALLY small – ok – not that small but holy monkey they were so good and fresh. The comment from my husband was – “I don’t get it – what kind of diet allows you to eat pork rinds of all things?” My answer: “My favorite kind of diet!”
